Job description

Butler Rose are currently partnered with a growing organisation who are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst who will manage the day-to-day execution of their Billing and Accounts Payable as well as play an integral part in the full financial lifecycle.


  • Support the onboarding and setup of new clients and projects in the ERP system and staff planning tool.
  • Communicate details of all new projects to project leads and teams.
  • Manage and track all invoicing according to billing schedules agreed to within scopes of work or contracts. This includes initiating billing requests and managing the process through workflow with the off-site billing team at the Shared Service Center and internal project leaders.
  • Analyze all unbilled work (AR & WIP) regularly against project budgets and submit necessary applications/reconciliations. This includes managing the process through workflow and liaising with the off-site billing team at the SSC as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular project review and reconciliations to support the timely management and close out of projects and budgets.
  • Lead the review and follow-up of outstanding client payments. This includes liaising with the off-site collections team (SSC) and reporting AR aging to management.
  • Troubleshoot any billing or AR matters with the Senior Financial Analyst, off-site billing team (SSC), project teams, and CFO as appropriate for timely resolution.
  • Lead efforts on all agency AP-related matters including: process and training, new vendor setups, troubleshooting or issue resolution, liaising with the offsite AP team (SSC), and analysis of open purchase orders.
  • Other ad-hoc reporting and analysis as applicable.
  • Support in execution of special initiatives across the organization.


  • 0-1 year of financial analysis experience
  • Ambition, initiative and a track record of success
  • Project management skills with the ability to juggle and prioritize multiple projects and keep them all on time and on budget
  • Organization and planning skills with strong attention to detail
  • Full knowledge of the Microsoft suite, expertise in Excel
  • Strong communication skills with a proven ability to motivate others
  • Not afraid to challenge the status-quo and suggest process improvements
