Butler Rose are currently partnered with a reputable organisation who are seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team in Manhattan.


  • Prepare monthly corporate financial statements and supporting schedules for subsidiary divisions.
  • Responsible for corporate month-end close.
  • Prepare annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
  • Analyze and report on monthly variance from budget.
  • Create project financials for monthly board meetings.
  • Created financial models agreements and projects.
  • Financial tracking of energy procurement.
  • Tracking and monitoring all customer agreements and invoices.
  • General Accounting and Financial Statement Preparation & Analysis.
  • Billing, paying, monitoring and reconciling Energy Finance Programs.
  • Monitoring Energy Bills.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting.
  • Account Reconciliations.
  • Issue 1099s when applicable.
  • Responsible for billing and accounts receivables.
  • Contact contractors/professionals to ensure invoices are paid for each project from start to finish.
  • Attend new business or board meetings when needed (sometimes after normal working hours).


  • Successful candidates must have 2-4 years of Corporate Accounting Experience.
  • Ideal candidate works well on his/her own and is resourceful in finding solutions.
  • Must also be able to work in a team environment.
  • Should have energy and the ability to multi-task.
  • Strong analytical, organization and communication skills are required.
  • Candidates must have superior writing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with a superior knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Great Plains experience preferred.
  • BS in Accounting is required and a CPA is desirable.
