Job description

The Role:

Reporting into the CFO, the Controller will be responsible for all aspects of accounting cycles, audits, and IRS filings, whilst ensuring compliance and robust controls.


  • Manage a team who look after all transactional activity and accounting cycles; including accounts payable/ receivables, cash, payroll, payroll, fixed assets and monthly closings;
  • Audit Management.
  • Ensure that all financial transactions and journal entries are recorded in accordance with organization policies and GAAP;
  • Ensure that all State and Federal tax documents and registrations are filed on time;
  • Ensure accounts receivable schedule is analyzed and outstanding balances are collected;
  • Approve wire transfers;
  • Review and approve monthly bank reconciliations and resolve all reconciliations on time;
  • Monitor and project cash flow and oversee the budgeting process;
  • Prepare financial statements for review by the CFO as well as other reports and data analysis;
  • Ensure the integrity of all financial management systems.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA certified.
  • At least 8 years experience in accounting, ideally within a legal environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting regulations and federal cost principles.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • A strategic thinker able to work in a pressurised and fast-paced organization.
